I can only tell you about the Spanish translation, but yeah, we've had a lot of fun too.
The first releases of Domino Administrator 5.0 in Spanish were nearly unusable because most things didn't work due to the translation of things that were not supposed to be translated.
Most releases of Notes 5.0 have changed the shortcuts for the menus... one release we have Ctrl+G for Save, the next is Ctrl+S then Ctrl+G again, Ctrl+S...
One of our developers lost hope on the Spanish version of notes and is using the English one, as a result, he hasn't suffered most of the bugs we've found during all this time.
P.S. Is it because of the translation, or the F8/F5 shortcuts don't work in the debugger in 5.0.10 and 5.0.11?
